I welcome to Gokhale Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College, Jawhar, Dist. Palghar. Our College is established in 1983 and permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The Science faculty is introduced in the college since 2013-14. The College is reaccreditated by the ‘NAAC’ with ‘B++’ grade and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
From a small beginning with 20 students in 1983, the College has grown since its inception into a big qualitative & quantitative with 100% grant-in-aid Science faculty in 2013. Presently, around 1200 students admitted every year in our college and almost 1500 students admitted under YCMOU center of our college out of which more than 90% students are Tribal and backward categories.
As a Principal, I would like to acknowledge team work put in by the entire staff of the college and my thanks go to them working tirelessly for the benefits of the students as well as college. The College always stands for academic excellence and strives to inculcate the social moral values in the minds of the tribal and backward students for the welfare of the society.
The College offers the courses such as Economics, Rural Development, Marathi & English in Arts faculty, Commerce and Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany & Zoology at Bachelor’s degree level. The college has achieved a balanced integration of knowledge, skills and personal development through a variety of learning techniques that combine University level teaching and research with industry standard practical training. The management and staff have always strived to anticipate the needs of the future and fulfill them.
